This near perfect Kamaka Gold Label Ukulele is the historic Soprano Ukulele from the 40’s to mid 50’s that was built by Sam Jr. It was one of the first models built in the style of Sam Sr. This one-piece top and back construction was consistent with Sam Jr.’s early pieces. This model is made of solid Koa wood and features a gold Kamaka Ukulele label in the sound hole and the patented gold and black double K logo on the head-stock.
If you look closely at the last picture, there are two very narrow vertical cracks below the bridge. If not for these hardly noticeable cracks in the grain, I think it is fair to say that this instrument is almost flawless.
